We are proud to be working alongside Tayside Contracts to provide sustainable employment opportunities to local people across Tayside.

Tayside Contracts are the largest and longest serving local authority shared service in Scotland. They serve over 420,000 citizens across the council areas of Angus, Dundee City, and Perth & Kinross – providing services such as facilities management, catering, road and vehicle maintenance and waste management.

As a Living Wage Accredited and Disability Confident Employer, they share our values of ensuring that everyone has access to equal opportunities in the workplace.

Over the past year Remploy’s Regional Account Manager, Amy Wilson, has been working alongside their HR team to support with recruitment across Tayside – providing support and attending multiple job fairs hosted by Remploy.

Rachael Lorimer, Assistant HR Adviser at Tayside Contracts, said: “The professionalism and competence of the employees at Remploy allows participants on the Fair Start Scotland programme to apply for roles that best match their skills and experience – which benefits both the individual and us as an employer.

“We are pleased that a number of Remploy participants have successfully gained employment with Tayside Contracts across the Angus, Dundee and Perth & Kinross areas and are enjoying their new roles. “

Amy Wilson, Regional Account Manager, added: “It’s important that we work with Living Wage Accredited and Disability Confident employers, like Tayside Contracts, to ensure we can provide equal and fair opportunities for all our Fair Start Scotland participants.

“We have been working with Tayside Contracts in Dundee, Perth & Angus for the last year. They have been incredibly supportive of our participants and everyone who has secured work with them has loved it. They are a fantastic employer to work with.”

We look forward to continuing to develop this relationship and working together to provide sustainable employment opportunities across Tayside.
