As a part-time student, Euan Fallon was looking for financial stability and flexible working when he joined the Fair Start Scotland service in September 2022.

Euan, 22, has a visual impairment and needs to wear glasses full-time, which has impacted his confidence.

His Key Worker, Chris Chriscodolo, supported Euan to build up his confidence and look at local job opportunities. Alongside this, he helped him to create a new CV and complete job applications for part-time vacancies.

After attending one of our Jobs Fairs in the Dundee branch, Euan met the Tim Hortons team and successfully secured a position on the spot. Although he didn’t consider a hospitality role previously, the chance to meet the local team one-to-one and learn more about their flexibility and shift patterns made him excited about the role.

In October 2022, Euan started working with Tim Hortons in his new role as a Team Member. He has now been in employment for over six months and has progressed to training new team members.

He said: “Remploy introduced me to Tim Hortons at their recruitment event. I had my interview and was offered a job that day. The job is flexible around my university commitments and Tim Hortons offers a good work life balance.

“I would definitely recommend Remploy to anyone looking for work. The team are very helpful and attentive through the whole process. Since I have started my new job, they have been in touch regularly to make sure I am doing well.”
