Employer-focussed pre-employment training
We design pre-employment programmes for unemployed disabled learners, tailored to the needs of a specific employer, sector or locality to ensure participants are matched to the most appropriate vacancies. This training includes:
- Sector-specific training
- Work experience
- Pre-screening and assessment, with guaranteed interviews.
The Supported Internships scheme helps young people aged 16 to 24 with complex learning difficulties or disabilities to find work.
Part of a full-time study programme, Supported Internships include on-the-job training with expert onsite job coaches responsible for supporting both interns and their employers. Programmes can also give interns the opportunity to take courses to develop other relevant skills, such as effective communication or understanding money.
We firmly believe in digital inclusion for all and are helping the Government to achieve their Digital Skills Strategy. We provide short bitesize programmes for individuals that provide online basics and help them progress to more advanced IT programmes and qualifications.
All of the above programmes include:
- A robust initial assessment
- Profile of an individual’s needs and starting point
- A personalised action plan
- Regular reviews and ongoing support and mentoring.
