In Scotland, Remploy delivers two employment support programmes for disabled people and those with long term health conditions on behalf of the Scottish Government.
Work First and Work Able are transitional programmes which will be superceded by the Fair Start programme which will launch in April 2018 with the aim of supporting at least 38,000 over three years and in which Remploy will be a delivery partner.
- Work First Scotland supports more than 3,300 disabled people helping them make the most of their skills and access employment support services that help them into and keep a job. This support is built on a coaching relationship with a dedicated case manager and co-ordinated access to skills and health support
- Work Able is managed by Skills Development Scotland and seeks to develop the skills of up to 1,500 people with a health condition who want to enter work.
