Specialist Employability Support

Who can access this service?

To be eligible for the SES Programme, customers must:

  • Not currently be in employment
  • Be of working age
  • Be disabled as defined by the Equality Act 2010
  • Have a disability or health condition that has a significant impact on their current employability. This could either be due to an existing condition, a recently acquired impairment, or a condition that has recently deteriorated
  • Have employment needs which cannot currently be met by other DWP or non-DWP provision, but can be met by SES.

All customers will have a dedicated Specialist Coach, who is their single point of contact. This coach will focus on their individual needs, and support them throughout their journey into work with Remploy.

Start Back:

*This programme is not available from September 2017

This service is for people with a small number of barriers who currently feel unable to work. After receiving our specialist support for up to three months, customers will be ready to move into work, or begin other provision. At the end of the customer’s three month journey, their Specialist Coach will either support the customer directly into employment, or advise their JCP Work Coach on their next steps, with recommendations for the most appropriate onward provision.

Main Provision:

This service is for people with multiple, complex barriers to employment and require a longer journey of support lasting up to 12 months. At the end of the customer’s journey, their Specialist Coach will either support the customer directly into employment or advise their JCP Work Coach on their recommended next steps.
