The Work Programme
Remploy supports the Government's introduction of the Work Programme and look forward to working with partners to develop a service suitable for the communities in which it is delivered.
Through our existing prime and subcontracts delivered across our national network of branches and factories, we are already committed to focusing on the ability of individuals themselves rather than the benefits that they receive.
We understand about enabling people to transform their lives by making sustainable work pay for them. For over 65 years, we have helped to transform the lives of thousands of disabled and disadvantaged customers.
Through providing sustained employment opportunities, we have helped those individuals to overcome their social and economic exclusion, support their families and contribute to their wider communities.
We believe in long term careers, not short term results. Working with over 3,000 UK businesses and organisations, our employer led approach enables us to truly understand their recruitment needs and place the right person into the right job. Supporting and developing an employee once they have found work means that 57% of our customers sustain past 26 weeks employment.
We are also experienced in successfully running big contracts through a large and varied supply chain. We currently deliver programmes worth £291m per year including Workstep, Flexible New Deal and Pathways to Work.
Making the Work Programme work for everyone
We have no doubt that the next few months will be a busy and exciting time in the Welfare to Work market as more details on the Work Programme and the Commissioning Framework are released.
During this time, Remploy will be taking a collaborative approach to explore how the Work Programme can work for everyone and to develop a delivery model and supply chain that offers local solutions to local needs. We will achieve this by:
- using this website to engage with stakeholders, open discussions, share ideas, promote partnership opportunities and communicate progress
- holding focus groups to inform our understanding of customer needs and develop our delivery model
- holding partnership events, attending industry events and arranging 1:1 meetings to engage key stakeholders and potential delivery partners in the design of our delivery model and supply chain
- using a formal application process to select a high quality supply chain best placed to address the needs of customers and meet the challenge of delivering the Work programme
- meeting with key national and local stakeholders and existing and potential delivery partners to develop partnership working arrangements
