Remploy jobs fair supports Coventry's disabled jobseekers
28th February 2008
Disabled jobseekers will have the ideal opportunity to meet top Coventry employers at a jobs fair organised by Remploy, the UK’s leading provider of employment services for disabled people. The event will take place on 7th March at Remploy’s city centre branch on Trinity Street between 10am and 2pm, and is open to anyone with a disability or health condition who is looking for work. Visitors will be able to see at first hand the employment opportunities available in the area and the wide range of support services provided by Remploy.
Key local employers including Coventry City Council, Dairy Crest, Mercia Security, Tesco and Anchor are keen to recruit disabled employees and will be exhibiting at the event.
Remploy specialist employment advisors will be available to help jobseekers link up with local employers and offer guidance on job searching and training opportunities. Additionally, Jobcentre Plus advisors will provide benefit-related advice.
Remploy is the UK's leading provider of employment services for people with disabilities and health conditions. The opening of its Coventry branch in April last year marked a new direction in the company’s determination to find jobs for even more people in the West Midlands region. More than 350 local people have secured jobs via the branch and it is hoped that the March jobs fair will further increase the number of disabled people supported into employment in the area.
Jobseekers on incapacity or other health related benefits are urged to visit the branch or telephone 0845 155 2571 for further information.
