Michele Scott, newly appointed manager at Remploy's Leeds branch
Remploy the UK’s leading provider of employment services for people with disabilities and health conditions, has appointed 35 year old Michele Scott as manager of its Leeds branch.

The specialist recruitment office on South Parade in the city provides a range of services for disabled jobseekers, and Michele is determined the Leeds branch will play a full part in helping Remploy, nationally, achieve its 20,000 jobs-per-year target by 2012.

“My role is to maximise the opportunities for disabled people to either return to work or enter the jobs market for the first time," she said. "Leeds benefits from a first rate team here at the branch, and we’re continually forming partnerships with more and more employers, whilst helping our candidates chalk up successes in mainstream employment.”

Michele, from Pudsey, has worked for Remploy for the past five years, appointed as an employment advisor in 2002 and offering post-employment support initially in Bradford, and then throughout West Yorkshire. Latterly, she was part of Remploy’s team establishing a network of specialist recruitment branches throughout the UK.

Since opening 17 months ago, Remploy’s Leeds branch has supported more than 250 disabled jobseekers into work with a range of employers, including Asda, Leeds Metropolitan University, Morrisons and Leeds' Queens Hotel.
