International Day of Persons with Disabilities - 2nd December 2016
IDPD is all about celebrating the abilities and talents of disabled people. We believe in hearing the voice of disabled people, and we want to improve our understanding of how we can better support disabled people into work.
This year we have launched the Purple Platform, to provide a voice for disabled people. We want to listen to the authentic voice of disabled people, their views on employment and the support that Remploy provides to them.
Through our work, we are committed to halving the disability employment gap, and in the last decade Remploy has worked with more than 240,000 disabled and disadvantaged people and supported 127,000 into or to retain employment.
By listening carefully to the voice of our service users it helps us improve what we do, better tailor our service design and inform how we can improve policy.
Please share your views, and voice on employment and disabilities and help us shape the support you and other people receive.
You can get involved by visiting your local branch on Friday 2 December and taking part in the Purple Platform, or
Join in our twitter Q & A on Friday 2 December from 11.30am - 1.30pm. Send us questions on disability and employment using #AskUsAnything and our Disability Ambassadors will be on hand to respond on the @RemployPP account.
