Remploy is working in partnership with Mencap, to support people with learning disabilities to find and remain in work, as well as helping employers to open up their recruitment policies to disabled people.

With Mencap’s help, we are able to fully understand the needs of people with a learning disability, so that we can support them to lead a fully inclusive and independent life through work.

Through initiatives such as Project Search and Project Emerald, we have a proven track record of assisting individuals with learning disabilities to gain the skills they need for a life in work.

We have found that people with learning disabilities have strength in roles which may be complex but require a systematic approach with repetition and clear, precise instructions. With this in mind, we are able to match them to jobs that best match their abilities, allowing them to thrive in the right working environment.
