Job Opportunities in the East Midlands with M&S
Remploy is working with M&S on its Marks & Start Logistics programme, supporting people with disabilities and health conditions to find employment at its Castle Donington distribution centre. At a massive 900,000 square feet, the site is capable of housing10 football pitches!
M&S is committed to supporting disabled people, by ensuring these individuals are an important part of the inclusive culture of the site.
The programme is part of M&S’s Plan A eco and ethical programme, which aims to make M&S the world’s most sustainable major retailer by 2015, and will help to make the site an inclusive and engaging place to work, where each person is valued as an individual.
Remploy and M&S will provide suitable candidates with:
- Job preparation, including an introduction to warehouse and logistics
- CV writing and interview preparation
- Onsite training at the Castle Donington site
- Supported work placements to further develop skills (if required)
- Ongoing support once successful permanent employment has been achieved.
There are a variety of vacancies available at the site, including warehouse operatives and administration roles. Suitable candidates must be able to work well as part of a team and ensure health and safety is maintained at all times.
As a warehouse operative, duties include; picking and packing orders, loading and unloading products onto transport, along with ensuring work areas are clean and tidy.
Applicants for administration roles must have knowledge of working with computers, good accuracy and the ability to maintain daily logs of activities.
