B&Q builds on Remploy relationship
During a four year recruitment partnership with Plymouth's B&Q warehouse, Remploy has developed a thorough understanding of the company's culture and values and the nature of the work involved in its various departments. As a result, Remploy's employment advisors can quickly identify applicants with the necessary skills and abilities to perform a wide range of roles at the store.
Within the partnership, Remploy provides B&Q with expertise on every aspect of integrating disabled people, individuals with a health condition and those who experience complex barriers to work, along with a range of consultancy services to help the store to operate best practice in this area.
"The relationship has been a great success," said Debbie. "Remploy gives us a great deal of support as an employer and having a city centre branch conveniently located nearby means that employment advisors are always on hand to provide any advice we need concerning our disabled employees and can easily bring candidates to see the workplace.
"The candidates put forward by Remploy are of a consistently high calibre and fulfil a wide variety of job roles - we've recently recruited fourteen people in a range of positions, from showroom representatives to car park attendants.
"We are really happy with the progress of everyone we have employed via Remploy and our employees are equally happy in their roles. I would absolutely approach Remploy to fulfil our recruitment needs in the future and would recommend its services to other employers wanting to employ disabled people."
